This is not a good sign as forests play a critical role in contributing to the ecosystem and global climate. This blog looks at deforestation and the way we are going about it.

The GFW system is a partnership between the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The system was launched in 2014, and has since been used by over 150,000 people in more than 190 countries.

The GFW system uses satellite data to map and track changes in forest cover. The system produces alerts when there are significant changes in forest cover, such as deforestation or degradation. The alerts are sent to users in near-real-time, so that they can take action to protect the forests.

5. What are the solutions?
